Kaospilot Education · Admissions

How to apply

Four steps between you and one of 38 seats on the next team. Applications open in January 2027; the deadline is announced when they open. Until then, the best move is to join a Q&A and meet the school.

The four steps

We do not admit on grades. We admit on what you have done, how you think, and how you work with others. The process is built to find that out, in both directions.

Written application and creative assignment

Tell us where you come from, what you have started, and why this. The creative assignment is your chance to show how you think when there is no right answer.

Application workshop, three days in Aarhus

Selected applicants join us for three days in May 2027. You work in teams with current students and staff, and you see what the education is like from the inside. The workshop fee is € 60.

Interview

A conversation with staff and current students about what we saw in the workshop, what you want, and whether the next three years should be spent here.

Selection

You are admitted, placed on the waiting list, or encouraged to apply again next year. We tell you why in every case.

Questions people ask before they apply

Can I apply from outside the EU?

The education is open to EU and EEA citizens. If you are unsure about your status, write to us before you apply and we will find out together.

I do not have a high school diploma. Can I still apply?

High school completion is the formal requirement. If your path looks different, describe it in the application and tell us in the Q&A. We read the whole story.

Can I work alongside the education?

It is a full-time education with real projects and real deadlines. Many students work part time; ask current students in the Q&A what is realistic.

Is there financial support?

Tuition is DKK 4,250 a month, paid quarterly. Kaospilot has an Opportunity Grant for applicants who could not otherwise attend. Ask about it in the Q&A.

What is the creative assignment?

A task with no right answer, published with the application. It is not a test of drawing or writing. It is a way for us to see how you think when the brief is open.

Can I visit before I apply?

Yes. Online Q&A sessions run until applications close, and there are open days in Aarhus. Sign up above and we send the dates.

Rather talk to a person?

Fifteen minutes with someone from the school, or with a current student. No script, no sales pitch.
